V Mathis is a Full-time Artist, and 1 of the Leading Prince Performers in the South East!

Introducing, V Mathis

V Mathis was raised in the Historic Neighborhood of Hyde Park, on the south side of Chicago. He got his music start from the Legondary, Dr. Lena Mclin, who has worked with Artists, ranging from Chaka Khan to Jennifer Hudson!

V is also 1 of the original 15 WGCI Chicago Idol Finalists! V has performed on some of the biggest music stages, opening up for various headline artists!

V is now a Full-time Artist, and Prince performer, and now has over 190+ shows under his belt since 2023!

V Mathis is currently collaborating with The Original Sugar Ray, (Nephew of Curtis Mayfield) They are currently in and out of the studio working on several new songs! Their Hit single, "Hot Sauce Baby" is available on All streaming platforms, and it is also the jingle for their New Hot Sauce, IHSB, "It's Hot Sauce Baby"; which will be in stores soon!
